Can I use dampers at each take off from the trunk to lower cfm?
My runs add up to 1178 on a 1000 cfm system (which is oversized from an 800 cfm outdoor supply). Problem is, I have banches split at all 4 corner rooms of the main floor zone. Example: For a room where I want to supply 182 cfm of air, From a 1000 cfm extended plenum I have an 8" branch flexible duct (210 cfm) to a wye which splits to two 6" flexible ducts (100 cfm each) each of which feed into 12X4 boots that I want to supply 91 cfm each - totalling 182 to the room. Will a damper at the plenum accomplish this or will I be trying to put too much into the room?
