Question about Playoffs?

I know there is a Wildcard, the next one is divisional I Think, and the next one is Conference. But Question with the Divisional round, what if the two teams aren't from the same division like Colts vs Ravens? Why would they call it divisional if they aren't in the same on? I know conference means in the same conference like AFC team vs AFC team.
