Bobby may have problems but more than likely the one time depression would not be a problem unless Bobby has a mental issue while at basic and it is found that he had mental treatment. Bobby should be upfront with his recruiter if Bobby is in the process or enlisting. Remember that when Bobby signed up, he granted the military permission to access his medical records. Now most of Bobby's medical records are digital and very easy to find.
