How is Alexander Hamilton considered a founding father? Or... how is he not considered one?

As a founding father, it could be said that Alexander Hamilton is often overlooked and that he belongs in the same cl with GW, TJ, Ben Franklin, John Adams, Sam Adams, John Han, and James Madison. Why do you think Hamilton does belong in the group and why do you think he is generally overlooked in this regard?
