Is my mother insane or what?

My mother, who seems like a perfectly normal person and has lots of friends, is a devout Christian. She has told me that she's seen angels and demons. Is she lieing, is she crazy, or is she telling the truth? She's not schizophrenic or anything like that...so what is it? She's a pretty honest person...
